AS IT SAYS ON THE TIN... The whole Band of Friends set up was something I have been trying to arrange ever since my final days of booking and running bands at Bushys's Bottleneck. Just wasn't quite able to make it work. God knows, the German bikers and fans ADORE the fine music of RORY GALLAGHER. So do I.Immensely. But this is so much more than that, because the chap that is ably double-fronting this band with original bass player Gerry McAvoy is none other than our homegrown guitar hero DAVY KNOWLES. He contacted me about a month ago and said had I finished with promoting bands, I said yes, slightly abruptly. Are you sure, he went on to say. Erm. He said what he was hoping to do and I just said,Yep, I'll do it! I would never turn down any projects of Davy's ,less so that included blues-rock royalty like Gerry and Brendan. I will fill more info in soon enough. The important thing is that we will be getting tickets on sale Midday Thursday 5th September. If you are able to scan the QR codes in the poster, each date is mentioned above. It's in the wonderful Centenary Centre where everyone will be up close and personal. On this occasion there will be no support as the band will basically come on until they are thrown off(unlikely)! So Thursday 5th September Midday.
