Some folks may have heard, rightly, that Triskel’s next announcement was to be Kenny Anderson’s
KING CREOSOTE.
No stranger to playing the Island, having supported SQUEEZE, when Triskel first brought them over to play the Royal Hall in 2007. Kenny Anderson is an extraordinary multi-instrumentalist with a searing voice and ethereal soundscapes that create the most amazing intimate settings. Peel Cathedral was the planned show Sat 21 June 2025. However, Kenny has just come off an exhaustive winter tour and has had the need to take stock. A slew of dates next summer have been shelved for the foreseeable future due to personal, health and family reasons. This is more important than anything, so Triskel are happy to put this show on the back burner, with the hope we can get Kenny back to entertain us another time. Tickets were due to go on sale on Monday 9th December but will now be mothballed until such times as we have KC back at full strength.
Meanwhile, we are a mere month away from the big event, no, not THAT event, the TWO SOLD OUT shows with Gerry McAvoy’s Band of Friends featuring Davy Knowles’ ONLY Island shows in 2025.
The 2 dates sold out in 8 hours unsurprisingly. Rory Gallagher’s legacy is defining in rock music. There are no more authentic replications of these shows than by original band members Gerry McAvoy and his blistering bass playing held together by bandmate Brendan O’ Neill. The fact that Rory has always been a guitar hero for Davy, makes it all the more special to hear these songs again. Back Door Slam did them justice back in the early years but to be in the band Rory PLAYED will make for a special evening.
Triskel are working on other shows as we speak, so we hope to secure some more special occasions for your music lovers.
Thanks for your support and I hope, understanding of this current predicament.
Cheers
Lenny
